Golden Beach to Tewantin
It was time to pack up the van and move out of Golden Beach Holiday Park.
The saying “time flies when having fun” is so true.
We met some very friendly people who were also very helpful.
They showed us various settings on the van which we did not know about, saving us hours of grief.
There is one little tip I would like to mention here before I forget.
Never park under trees that lose their leaves.
We spent a few hours trying to clean the leaves off the awning and roof.
The task was made difficult as it was a wet morning.
The other thing I learned was to roll up your awning the day or evening before it was time to go
We found most morning there was a slight dew which made the awning damp.
It is better to roll up a dry awning.
While it was sad having to move out, we were now on our way to Green RV to pick up our new van.
The van had been detailed and ready to be picked up.
The salesman went through the different functions and the handover was complete.
Except for one thing, all the gear in the old van had to be transferred into our new home.
That was not a pleasant task.
All completed we headed out the gate and encountered a massive tropical storm.
We could hardly see the road in front of us.
Big 4 Ingenia Holiday Park is near the Tewantin National Park and not too far from Hastings Street Noosa.
The park is loaded with things to entertain all visitors.
A swimming pool, wading pool, jumping cushion, playroom, camp Kitchen, outdoor cinema, and a great fish and chips shop at the entrance.
After a friendly welcome and orientation of the park, we were helped to your site.
It was my first time with this van and I was not used to the size.
The park had a good feeling to it plenty of room and areas to have picnics etc.
